Jarrett P. Macanas
Jarrett Pukuniahi Macanas received a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University-Provo and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Utah’s S. J. Quinney College of Law. In law school, Jarrett clerked at the Utah Second District Court, served as an Articles and Notes Editor for the Extra Muros international law journal and spent a summer abroad as an intern for the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service in São Paulo, Brazil. He began his legal career as a litigation and family law attorney in Utah, gaining extensive courtroom and trial experience.
Jarrett enjoys specializing in Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates, and Elder Law, especially in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands, where he has close family roots and local ties. He is admitted to practice law in Hawaii and Utah and is a member of the HSBA’s Estate Planning & Probate and Elder Law sections and the Hawaii Filipino Lawyers Association. As a Venturing Scouts advisor, Jarrett has a great time leading youth on high adventure expeditions. He also has a passion for mixed martial arts, outrigger canoeing and running. Jarrett and his wife cherish the time they have together raising their energetic and lively three-year-old son.
